Behind AlternativeSoft

Laurent founded AlternativeSoft after four years at UBS Wealth Management where he was head of tactical asset allocation. At UBS, he spearheaded and implemented the investment strategies for $110bn of private client assets, including $30bn in Mutual Funds, and was involved in the construction of the first $6bn UBS Wealth Management Fund of Hedge Funds. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics and an MBA in finance, both from the University of Lausanne, and was a professor of economics and mathematics for 2 years in Lausanne, Switzerland. His interests include skiing, sports, and happy clients.

Ravi manages the strategic and operational elements at AlternativeSoft whilst also heading up the research and development of AlternativeSoft's flagship product. He develops and validates mathematical models, whilst providing strategic product direction and overview. Ravi wrote a thesis on “Portfolio Management in the Presence of Stochastic Volatility”. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from King's College, University of London. His interests include technology, gaming, bhangra and an avid barbeque enthusiast.

Akshay joined AlternativeSoft in 2011. He provides quantitative support and training to clients and leads all aspects of client relationships, retention, and development. Akshay holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Devi Ahilya University, India and an MSc in Banking and Finance from Queen Mary, University of London. His interests include squash, badminton and travelling.

Naum leads sales in the Americas focusing on fostering long-term partnerships with new and existing institutional clients. Before joining AlternativeSoft, Naum worked for a number of firms in the information technology and financial services industry including Digital Asset and Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv). He holds an MBA in Behavioral Finance from DePaul University and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Finance from The Ohio State University. Naum's interests include all things Fintech, skiing, photography and travel.

Carol leads sales across EMEA and APAC at AlternativeSoft. With over 15 years in financial technology sales, he focuses on growth strategy and client relationships across these regions. He holds an MBA from The Open University Business School. Before joining AlternativeSoft, Carol worked as Senior Account Executive at Bloomberg and Account Director at Wolters Kluwer, where he expanded market presence in EMEA. Outside of work, Carol enjoys theatre, tennis, architecture, reading, swimming and history.

Mitesh is responsible for the user experience, design and digital marketing of all AlternativeSoft products. He studied Multimedia Technology and Design at Brunel University and graduated in 2009. Mitesh has worked with high-profile clients for the past 12 years. His hobbies include playing football, gaming, gadgets, travelling and photography. He lives by the famous quote of Albert Einstein: “Creativity is contagious, pass it on.”

Dipesh is responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships. Before joining AlternativeSoft, Dipesh worked as a Financial Consultant in the regulatory and risk space specialising in Dodd-Frank and MiFID, and as a Hedge Fund Investment Analyst at IAM. In 2014 he moved to a family office as an Analyst within their Fixed Income and Equity team, specialising in relative value investing. Dipesh holds the IMC and an MSc in Finance from Cass Business School along with a BSc (1st class Honours) in Financial Economics.

Nezar is a specialist in Fund Accounting. Prior to AlternativeSoft, Nezar worked as Fund Operations Manager in Dubai for 14 years. In 2017 he moved to London and worked with a family office as an Operations Optimisation Manager, working with clients to improve their fund operations effectiveness, workflow and controls. Nezar holds an MSc in Business Administration from London South Bank University. His interests include photography, travelling and animation.

Anastasiya is a CFA® charter holder and Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM). She has more than 10 years of experience in software development. Anastasiya works closely with both the Development and the Quantitative Analytics team to define needs and recommend solutions that deliver value to AlternativeSoft clients. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Belarusian State University. Her interests include motorsport, hiking, and travelling.

Dominic is responsible for the day-to-day management of our client accounts. Prior to AlternativeSoft, Dominic worked as an Account Manager in the payments and finance sectors. He studied Business & Marketing at university and graduated in 2017. His interests include football, skiing, and cooking.

Lisa leads HR and operations across AlternativeSoft's UK, US, and European offices. Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership, she drives people strategy, operational efficiency, and business planning to support the company's growth. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and badminton.

Leila works as an investment analytics product specialist in our product team supporting the needs of the desk across all product lines. She is experienced in Iran's capital markets, financial services, and investment funds as a financial analyst. She has passed two levels of the CFA exam. She graduated from Bournemouth University with a master's degree in Finance. Her previous degrees include an MSc in Financial Management and a BSc in Business Administration from Iran. Leila wrote a thesis on “An Evaluation of the Ability of Various GARCH Models in Estimation and Forecasting UK Stock Market’s Volatility.”

Liudmila is a Product Manager at AlternativeSoft. She is a certified professional Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master with experience in the FinTech industry in both Germany and the UK. She holds a Master's in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as a Master's in Business Management, giving her a strong foundation in both technical and business disciplines. Outside of work, Liudmila enjoys reading, travelling, and discovering new perspectives.

Daria works as a Client Services Analyst within our team, dealing with platform training, bespoke queries, support and insight reports. She is experienced in client engagement, previously working as a Customer Success Manager for a large data aggregation company in the market research sector. Daria holds an MSc in Risk and Economics from LSE and a BSc in Anthropology from UCL, with a secondary education heavily based on Physics and Mathematics. In her free time Daria enjoys reading, yoga, baking and riding motorbikes.

Mohamed works as a Client Services Analyst at AlternativeSoft. He holds an MA in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and previously worked as a Customer Support Consultant at a large asset management company. Outside of work, Mohamed enjoys travelling and experiencing new places and cultures, as well as football.
